His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Thursday, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a visit during which he will hold high-level talks on the peace track in Yemen and common security challenges, on the sidelines of the Arab-American Summit, which will be hosted in Jeddah next Saturday, in the presence of the US President, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Egypt, and Jordan.
The visit of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council includes important discussions centered on the Yemeni situation, and the pressures required to push the Iranian-backed Houthi militias to fulfill their obligations in accordance with the existing truce agreement and to build on it to achieve peace and stability in the country in accordance with national and regional references and relevant international resolutions.
