Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh launched Monday the annual meeting of Global Alliance for Vaccine.
The meeting will discuss in three days a number of topics associated with vaccines, including annual revision of the alliance's activities with the ministry of public health, which include support provided by the alliance to our country in field of vaccination and other relevant activities to cover all children.
The meeting will also discuss future plans, challenges faced the work last year and revising vaccination's activities.
Yemen's pandemic situation and a number of measures and procedures taken by the ministry of public health and priorities for facing challenges have been discussed.
Minister Buhaibeh praised support provided by the alliance as key financer to all vaccines in Yemen for years, pointing out to reappearance of polio after announcing Yemen free from the pandemic in 2009, saying that Houthi militia was behind re-eruption of the disease for banning vaccines in their held-areas.
