Yemen FM, Chargé d'Affairs of the Russian Embassy discuss bilateral relations and Yemen developments
[29/05/2022 04:47]
Riyadh - Saba
Foreign Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed today with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Russian Embassy in Yemen, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the developments in the situation in Yemen.

The foreign minister said, "The flexibility with which the Yemeni government dealt to establish and consolidate the truce is its awareness of the extent of the suffering of the Yemeni people and its sincere desire to alleviate that suffering."

He added, "The criminal nature of the Houthi militia and its persistence in the behavior of gangs and dealing with citizens in the areas under its control as hostages, and its continuous endeavor to politicize humanitarian issues and profit from people's suffering, gives clear indications of the reasons for the militia's continued arrogance and intransigence in the siege of the city of Taiz and the closure of its main roads."

Bin Mubarak stressed that lifting the siege and opening the main crossings and outlets for the city of Taiz is of great interest to the political leadership and the government.
