Health Ministry discusses developments in the epidemiological situation regarding monkeypox

The primary health care sector at the Ministry of Public Health and Population held an extensive meeting in the temporary capital Aden today to discuss the health situation in various governorates, the epidemiological situation of monkeypox and the measures taken by the Ministry of Health to confront any possible cases of the epidemic.

The meeting stressed the importance of sharing information between the Ministry and the WHO and coordinating efforts between the various sectors of the ministry. For his part, the Deputy Minister for the primary Health Care Sector, Dr. Ali Al-Walidy, stressed the need to activate coordination between the ministry and the World Health Organization at the level of the main office and the regional office regarding updates on the definition of the epidemiological situation and work on training health staff to confront the monkeypox epidemic.
