President al-Alimi: Dealing with Houthis as Authority of Fait Accompli Means Legitimizing Divine Right, Racism, Weapons Outside State
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

Yemen's Foreign Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to defeat ISIS in the city of Marrakesh.
The meeting, with the participation of foreign ministers from many countries of the world, and representatives of international organizations, is discussing international efforts to combat ISIS and extremist organizations, and ways to confront them.
Addressing the meeting in a speech, the Minister reviewed the efforts of the Yemeni government to confront terrorist organizations and groups, and the urgent needs of the concerned agencies in the field of capacity building, training and rehabilitation.
He affirmed the continued commitment of Yemen represented by the Presidential Leadership Council to work with the international community to address this phenomenon. Bin Mubarak pointed to the importance of the efforts made by the Yemeni government to achieve peace and stability, which will reflect positively on ending the danger of terrorist organizations... expressing the extent of the suffering that Yemen has suffered as a result of these terrorist organizations such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Houthi militias, and what links these terrorist organizations from cooperation at the level of coordination, financing and armament.
