Yemen participated in the meetings of the Executive Council of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN Habitat) held at the United Nations Headquarters in Nairobi with a delegation headed by the Permanent Representative of Yemen to the Program Abdulsalam Al-Awadi.
In his speech, Al-Awadi touched on the political, social and economic challenges and other disasters caused by the Houthi militias, referring to the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council in which the Houthi militias refused to participate.
Al-Awadi praised the efforts of the Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program in support of Yemen, pointing to the importance of increasing projects in all fields, stressing that the government deals with full responsibility with all that mediations presented for the sake of peace that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people.
