The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Beheibeh, called for concerted efforts and teamwork for the various sectors and relevant ministries, to make the vaccination campaign against the polio virus a success.
At the opening of the coordination meeting of the various sectors and ministries, organized by the primary health care sector, with the support of the World Health Organization and UNICEF, Beheibeh said that the implementation of the vaccination campaign against the polio virus is a very important health event, given the re-emergence of polio after Yemen eradicated it and was declared free from it in 2009.
He called on the local authorities in the governorates and relevant directorates to work to support the immunization teams working in the field for the success of the campaign activities that will be launched on February 19.
