Yemen's Ambassador to Malaysia Adel Bahumaid acquainted Advisor of Malaysian Prime Minister Azalina Othman with latest developments in Yemen led by human rights issue and violations committed by Houthi militia- with support from Iranian regime- against Yemeni people.
Bahumaid conveyed congratulations of the government of Yemen to Malaysian government on electing Malaysia a member in the UN Human Rights Council for the period 2022-2024, confirming significance of continuation coordination between Yemen and Malaysia in international forums for the interests of the two countries.
He pointed out to humanitarian tragedy in a number of districts in Marib, Shabwa and Taiz over Houthi militia's continuous military escalation and shelling populated neighborhoods by ballistic rockets and drones and besieging Tai City.
For her part, the Malaysian advisor confirmed her country's position supporting the internationally recognized government of Yemen, expressing her country's appreciation to Yemen's position supporting Malaysia in Human Rights Council's elections.
