Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan directed police directors, airports security services and Yemenia Airways offices (Aden, al-Mukalla, Sayoon) to apply the resolutions of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) about dealing with foreign currency.
Haidan said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) " These directives intended to fully back up the CBY's decisions and measures about banning dealing with foreign currency in any national transactions and taking legal measures against companies and individuals who breach the CBY's decrees".
The Minister ordered tightened security measures at the airports, marine and land entrances to prevent transferring foreign currency into abroad outside law.
