Yemen' Foreign Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed today with his Eritrean counterpart Othman Saleh the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, the latest developments on the Yemeni and regional arenas, and the overall issues of concern to the two countries.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the high-level meeting on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, bin Mubarak briefed his Eritrean counterpart on the latest developments in Yemen and the repercussions of the war waged by the Houthi militia with the support of the Iranian regime.
They discussed the issue of the Safer tanker and the risk of disastrous consequences on Yemen and the region, stressing the two countries' keenness to enhance coordination and cooperation to follow up on various bilateral issues between the two sides.
The Eritrean minister affirmed his country's support for the Yemeni government and its support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty and stability.
