VIENNA – SABA
The Yemeni ambassador to Austria, Haitham Shuja Al-Din, discussed today with the head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Austrian Foreign Ministry the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to develop and strengthen them.
In the meeting, Ambassador Shuja Al-Din reviewed the latest political and military developments in the governorates of Marib and Shabwa, and the continued Houthi targeted attacks on civilians and displaced persons with ballistic missiles.
The ambassador referred to the potential environmental catastrophe as a result of the Houthi militia's continuation of not allowing the UN team to conduct a comprehensive assessment and repair of Safer oil tanker and using this issue to bargain with the international community, stressing the importance of exerting maximum pressure on the Houthi militia to let technicians salvage the vessel and prevent an environmental disaster.
