Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib, discussed with Mr. David Grisley, the resident representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and the humanitarian coordinator in Yemen ways to distribute more allocations from the amounts mobilized through UN organizations for the sake of development as well as peacebuilding.
The meeting paid special attention to the importance of the activities of the United Nations system for the transition from relief aid to development aid, the mechanism of submitting reports on the performance of organizations, and reviewing and following up on work and implementation mechanisms.
It also touched on the mechanism of disbursing funds through the Central Bank of Yemen and giving the necessary support to the economic production sectors, especially agriculture and fish, and supporting small and medium enterprises, which helps support the value of the currency and the stability of the national economy.
