Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah discussed Monday with delegations of French organization ACTED and International Medical Corpse (IMC) future emergency humanitarian interventions of the two organizations in Marib.
In the meeting held separately with the delegations of the two organizations, Miftah reviewed latest humanitarian situation developments in Marib under Houthi militia's continuous military escalation in the province.
He acquainted the two delegations with the tragic situations of the displaced people in the camps in Marib, discussing with them possible support for meeting some of their humanitarian needs.
He praised efforts of ACTED for opening an office in Marib during the forthcoming days, uttering readiness of local authority for providing facilitations to all organizations for implementing their humanitarian activities in the province.
For their part, the delegations of the two organizations provided details on objectives of their visits to the province, confirming their willing to enhance humanitarian partnership with the local authority for securing needs of displaced people and alleviating their suffering.
They praised efforts of Marib's local authority and continuous cooperation with international organizations operating in humanitarian field in the province.
