Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Anwar al-Mahri discussed Wednesday with the Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Zubeyir Yaka Yılmaz, and the Head of the Turkish Red Crescent Mission in Yemen, Ahmed Korkmaz ways of strengthening cooperation and partnership in support of the technical education and vocational training sector in Yemen.

Planning Minister, World Bank discuss imminent interventions

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Thursday with the Deputy Head of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa Region Farid Balhaj through video conferencing directing the WB's interventions to keep pace with the government's imminent priorities.

The meeting touched upon increasing support to future specific projects, which will make balance between emergent social intervention from one hand and recovery and developmental projects from another.

Minister Batheeb praised WB's support to the future projects package in Yemen, confirming aspirations for more strategic support by the organization and called the WB for opening an office to the group in the transitional capital of Aden.

He also expressed aspirations for the organization support to overcome effects of corona pandemic and long response interventions in field of water and sanitation and contribution in improving basic services and helping the already deteriorated health sector.

He pointed out to mobilizing resources to food security and agriculture sector in addition to minor interventions in fishery sector.
