Saudi Arabia calls on UNSC to stop Houthi militia's threats to international peace, security
[03/03/2021 01:35]
NEW-YORK-SABA
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KAS) has called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to keep on bearing its responsibility toward Iran-backed Houthi militia to stop their threats to international peace and security, hold them accountable for their terrorist actions that undermine the UN peace efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

The Kingdom's Representative to the UN Ambassador Abdullah al-Mualimi sent a letter today to the UNSC about the hostile military actions by Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia against the KSA. The letter cited the Houthi militia's ballistic missile attack on Riyadh on February 27,2021 and a projectile fired by the militiamen yesterday on a village in Jazan region resulted in injuring five civilians and material damages.

Al-Mualimi stated that the militia's attacks following the UNSCR 2564 of 2021 dated February 25 demonstrate that this militia does not believe but in the terrorist behavior to achieve its objectives.
