Planning Minister explores IOM's support to help refugees

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'ed Batheeb met Thursday in the interim capital Aden with the Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Yemen Christa Rottensteiner .

The meeting intended to discuss aspects of coordination and cooperation between the Yemeni government and the IOM about the refugees.

Batheeb detailed Rottenstiener on the refuges dossier, citing the necessary resources which are urgently needed to support the Yemeni government's efforts aiming to help the refugees.

The minister explored greater interventions and support by the IOM in order to provide the refugees with shelter and necessary services .

Separately Dr. Batheeb met with the Director of the UNICEF's Office in Aden Charles Nozoki .

The conversations dealt with ongoing coordination and cooperation between the government and the UNICEF.
