ADEN - SABA
The National Alliance of Political Parties, an umbrella of the country's key stakeholders, has welcomes the US State Department's decision to designate the Iran-backed militia of Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
In a statement on Monday, the parties, said, "Even though late, the [US] decision what the Yemeni people and political stakeholders have – for years - been demanding."
"Yemenis have been burned in the hell of Houthi terrorism, suffering deaths, bombings, extermination of civilians in the wars the militia waged against the Yemeni nation."
The parties said, "We hope this decision will set a limit to the savage Houthi savage crimes … which have extended to all the provinces and evolved to unprecedented massacres as what is now happening in Taiz's Haymah outskirts and hundreds of previous massacres whose victims were mostly children and women."
The parties called upon the international community "to lend a helping hand to the legitimate government to confront this terrorism and restore" peaceful life for the Yemeni people.
