MARIB - SABA
The spokesman of the Yemeni army said the Houthi theocratic militia "go too far in targeted consecutive attacks on civilians in defiance of the international community."
In a statement to 26 September, the defense ministry's website, Brig. Abduh Mujalli said the militia most recently killed a football player and his son playing in a stadium, only days after killing and injuring dozens of factory workers in Hodeidah.
"The militia commit war crimes. They shell public service places, hospitals, schools and any civilian facilities," he said.
He said the militia seize "the international community's silence."
He appreciated the US categorization of the militia in the groups of "special concern", but said they need to be wholly designated as a "terrorist group."
