VIENNA-SABA
Yemen has participated in the meetings of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Trustees' meetings held in the period 14-17 September in the agency's premises here.
Yemen's Permanent Representative to the IAEA Ambassador Haitham Shuga'ddin expressed extreme concern of Yemen over the agency's report regarding Iranian continuous violation to the inclusive action plan and the Security Council's Resolution 2231 for 2015, calling Iran for stopping escalating steps, reduce tensions and for full cooperation with all demands of the agency.
He also called Iran to stop its weapon support to Houthi militia for targeting Yemeni people and neighboring countries as this support contributes in destabilizing Yemen and the region.
He reminded of the Board of the Trustees' decision approved on June 19, 2020 and called Iran for full cooperation with the agency and meeting its demands.
The meetings discussed issues associated with nuclear and radiation safety, nuclear sciences and technology, IAEA's guarantees in the Middle East and Israeli nuclear capacities.
