Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Houthi terrorists' ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia draw wide condemnation

The ballistic missile attacks the Yemeni terrorist militia of Houthis launched against Saudi cities and civilian targets on Saturday evening have drawn wide condemnations.

The speaker of the Cairo-based Arab Parliament Mishaal al-Salami said the attacks –foiled by Saudi air defenses over the capital Riyadh and city of Jizan - are "a striking violation of the UN charters, a definance of the international community … and refutes the Houthi claim of accepting UN escalation calls."

The Secretry General of the Organizaion of Islamic Cooperation blamed the Houthis for these "terrorist attacks" which come at a time the whole world is united countering the global hazard of coronavirus. He called on the UN Security Council "to assume its responsibility in countering these terror acts."

The GCC in a press statement called on the international community to assume its responsibility in standing firmly to the Houthi "terror acts" that seek to "destabilize the region."

The State of Kuwait said "this cowardly attack does not only target the security of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and safety of its people but the security of the whole Gulf region."
