Bin-Dagher: Military, security steps have been agreed to, will simultaneously be implemented with appointing governor of Aden

Advisor of the President of the Republic Dr. Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dadher stated that there are several military, security and political steps have already been agreed to and will be carried out simultaneously with appointing a governor of Aden and chief of security within upcoming period.

His remarks came as he met here with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Michael Aron on Wednesday.

Bin-Dagher and Aron conferred over a range of significant issues most important of all the implementation of Raiyah Agreement.

Bin-Dagher stressed the importance of implementing the Riyadh Agreement in full to put an end of the armed conflicts in Aden and surrounding governorates and joint efforts to go countering the Houthi militia's coup.

The UN-led peace process was also key point of the conversations. Bin-Dagher called on the Houthi militia to stop fighting and come back to negotiations to make peace based on the three terms of reference. " We need today to reach a fair and comprehensive peace based on the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and UNSCR 2216", said Bin Dagher.

The British Ambassador reiterated his country's support for Yemen's unity, security and stability, appreciating the efforts made by the political committee tasked with working on the implementation of Riyadh Agreement, voicing support to the joint efforts have been made by the Saudi leadership and signatory parties to Riyadh Agreement to put it in place.
