WASHINGTON-SABA
The Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Abdullah Al Rabeeah has briefed the Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development Bonnier Glick on some of the quality projects KSrelief has implemented in Yemen over the past years.
He cited the demining project of MASAM that has extracted 89,761 Houthi-laid landmines by the first half of this September, the establishment of an artificial limb center to provide replacements to those who lost limbs in landmine and rocket attacks.
He also cited the rehabilitation courses that KSrelief offers to ex-child soldiers caught among the Houthi fighters. He said they come under rehabilitation and are often integrated back to the society.
He said the total Saudi aid to Yemen since the year 2015 amounts to USD 14.5 billion.
