Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas discussed Thursday with the Regional Director of USAID Mary Ellen supporting education sector.
Lamlas reviewed education sector's needs, improving productivity of School Book Press and including English subject for students from four grade of basic education.
The minister urged the organization to exert more efforts for supporting education in Yemen and training its technical cadre, as well as financing programs and projects of administrative competence, pointing to destroying thousands of schools over Houthi militia triggered war.
Praising the agency effort for supporting education as the third donor, Minister Lamlas hoped more support from the USAID for rehabilitating schools and providing school equipment.
The agency official confirmed continuation support to Yemen in all fields, pointing out that the agency has a plan for supporting education in a number of provinces for securing education for all.
The plan includes improving educational subjects, providing schools with equipment and boosting educational institution's capabilities, she said.
