Yemen, Vietnam discuss education, vocational training cooperation

KUALA LUMPUR-SABA
Yemen's non-Resident Ambassador to Vietnam Adel Bahumaid discussed Thursday with Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam cooperation between the two countries in fields of public and higher education and vocational training.

The two parties also discussed economic and trade cooperation.

Bahumaid reviewed situation developments in Yemen and repercussions of the Southern Transitional Council's coup against the government in Aden and other southern provinces with support from the United Arab Emirates.

He confirmed government's keenness on abiding by UN resolutions aiming for ending the war and realizing peace in Yemen on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

He praised the role of the government of Vietnam in supporting international efforts serving Yemen.

He also pointed to efforts exerted by Saudi government-as leader of the Arab Coalition- for containing situation deterioration in Aden and other southern provinces, pointing to government's welcome to Jeddah Dialogue after withdrawal of all armed militia from the state's institutions and offices.

For his part, the Vietnamese official confirmed his country's keenness on realizing peace in Yemen and avoiding more of bloodshed so as Yemen will be able makes use of its capabilities and wealth for development and reconstruction purposes.

He also confirmed support of Vietnam to UN efforts for realizing peace in Yemen and welcomed all aspects of cooperation between the two countries.
