Yemen, US discuss military cooperation

Minister of Defense General Lieutenant Mohammad al-Madashi discussed Sunday with US Military Attache here Robert Tembekins and military cooperation between Yemen and the United States and coordination in field of combating terrorism.

The two parties discussed also latest developments in the transitional capital Aden and Transitional Council groups' escalation and their assault against government institutions.

Al-Maqdashi confirmed that those practices diminish state's efforts of normalizing conditions and efforts of combating terrorism, as well as provide extremist groups a chance for regrouping, which serves Houthi militia and Iran's objectives in the region.

He valued US support to the government of President Hadi and rejection of any coup attempts against it.
