The Saudi program for removing landmines (MASAM) has destroyed a large number of landmines and UXOs that the Houthis had planted in houses and farms in Serwah district of Marib.

MASAM officials including foreign experts attended the dismantling event. The rebel militia in their years long insurgency have planted tens of thousands of landmines across Yemen causing civilians to die or sustain critical injuries on a continuous basis.
