Yemeni Government called on the UNHCR and Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen to move to stop carrying out the execution verdict issued by Iran-aligned Houthi militia against a group of activist, politicians and journalists.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Hadrami addressed the United Nations High Commissionaire of Human Rights (UNHCR) Michelle Bachellet and Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Martin Griffiths in two separate letters in which he noted that what Houthi militia has been doing of ostensibly prosecutions and issuing execution rulings against innocent civilian citizens incorporated in prisoner-exchange deal under Stockholm Agreement is considered killing outside law done by rebel armed grouphas no legal authority to issues such verdicts.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs called on the UNHCR and UN's envoy to immediately intervene to save the lives of the detainees who the militia decided to kill them outside the law.
