His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

Yemen seeks making use of Hungary's demining expertise

Deputy Minister of Interior General Lieutenant Mohammad al-Amir discussed Friday with Director of International Relations at Defense Ministry of Hungary Peter Gila making use of Hungarian expertise in security field, demining and anti-handling devices and grenades.

Hungary has great experience it has gained when it participated in combating terrorism within NATO operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The two parties also discussed making use from Hungarian expertise in field of monitoring borders and combating illegal migration.

Al-Amir confirmed Yemen's plan of making use of Hungarian wide experience in military and security domains, pointing to government's efforts of normalizing security situations in liberated provinces.

For his part, the Hungarian official expressed aspirations for cooperation and providing possible support to Yemen and receiving and training specialists in fields of anti-handling devices and grenades, as well as including Yemeni cadre in specialized security and military courses whether those provided by Hungary or through cooperation with NATO.

He reviewed anti-illegal migration law, which organizes relations between security and military bodies and other different bodies tasked with combating illegal migration.
