RIYADH-SABA
Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said the Decisive Storm operation launched by the Arab Coalition on 26 March 2015 was meant to save Yemen from total collapse. In a seminar held by the Information Ministry and the Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh here on Wednesday in commemoration of the 4th anniversary of the operation, the minister said the military operation was "a translation of what shared destiny means for us as Yemenis and Arab Coalition brotherly countries."

He said that the Yemeni government and the Coalition do not want war to last for one day, but the magnitude of the threat posed by the Houthi militia and, behind them, Iran made the war inevitable and we have no option but to topple the militia."

Yemen's ambassador to Saudi Arabia had said in his speech that the operation achieved positive outcomes and kept the Arab nation aligned and united in countering the Iranian agenda in the region.
