The Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Relief Aid Coordination Office discussed in its meeting held here on Thursday humanitarian situation developments in Yemen and the implemented projects and programs provided by relief agencies.
Presided over by the General Observer of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Activities for Humanitarian Operations and Programs Ahmad al-Biez, the meeting dealt with the humanitarian situation in a number of districts in Hajja Province over the siege imposed by Houthi rebel militia.
The meeting demanded the United Nations and its organizations and the International Community to stand firm against crimes committed by Houthi terrorist militia, who violates the principles of the International Law and Human Rights, stressing practicing pressure on Houthi militia to lift the siege imposed on people of Hajour, Hajja and allowing entrance of relief and humanitarian assistances.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population for Curative Medicine provided inclusive review on the humanitarian situation in Yemen and recent developments in Hajourareas, Hajja Province, as well as the process of the relief process in Yemen.
He valued support provided by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to Yemeni people.
He praised keenness and concern of the relief bodies in the gulf coordination office of humanitarian situation in Yemen and providing relief support to all Yemeni provinces.
For their part, the members of the GCC's office confirmed continuation of providing relief and humanitarian support to Yemeni people in different fields.
