The Arab League's Water Assembly elected on Saturday Deputy Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi a member in its Board of Directors in the end of the Arab Water Week organized by the association here.
In Yemen's speech, al-Sharjabi appreciated the support provided by countries and organizations to Yemen for facing damages affected water sector in the country, including those areas affected by the siege and confrontations.
He also expressed Yemen's hope for supporting water institutions in provinces of Aden, Dhale', Abyan and Lahj, which have been destroyed over Houthi militia's war on the country.
"Every war will end and peoples will continue to remember only situations of brothers and friends during ordeals," he said.
More than 600 participants from different Arab and foreign countries, as well as representatives of concerned regional and international organizations participated in the conference.
