The Arab Coalition has airdropped assistance to tribesmen in Kushar district of the northern Yemen province of Hajjah as they repel Houthi invasion attempts for weeks.
Addressing a weekly press conference in Riyadh, the Coalition's spokesman Lt. Col. Turki al-Maliki said, "In coordination with the Yemeni government, the command of the Arab Coalition has managed deliver aerial military and logistical arms to Hajoor tribesmen in Kushar who are under a three-week long siege by the coupist Houthi militia."
The militia have been besieging and shelling the far under-armed tribe as a collective punishment for their rejection of the militia's rule.
Al-Maliki also said that "the Iran-backed militia continue to use Sana'a International Airport as a launchpad for ballistic missiles, unmanned drones and aerial threats."
