Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohammed Ali al-Maqdashi met on Sunday with American Military Attaché to Yemen Colonel Brad Ghandi.

Aspects of Yemeni-American military and security cooperation were discussed.

Efforts have been made to counter terrorism was key focus of General al-Maqdashi's conversations with Col. Ghandi.

The Minister of Defense highly appreciated American friends' support for legitimate leadership headed by the President, Field Marshal Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi—Commander-in-Chief.

Col. Ghandi conveyed a cable of condolences to General al-Maqdashi from Commander of Central American Forces General Joseph Votel on the death of the Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. General Saleh Azendani.
