Supervisory committee on Lahj food security program holds first meeting

The Governor of Lahj, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Turki, chaired the first meeting of the Supervisory Committee on Food Security Improvement and Stability of Livelihoods Program in Lahj on Monday.
The program is funded by the European Union and is being implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in cooperation with the Technical Secretariat for Food Security in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
The governor praised the role played by the United Nations in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people through a package of programs to improve and sustain the livelihoods of various governorates in general and Lahj in particular.
