Iran-backed Houthi militia blocked on Saturday a relief convoy was scheduled to move from Hodeidah seaport to capital Sana'a.
A government's official told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that " Houthi militia drew back from its approval on Friday in a meeting with the Chief of the UN Committee tasked with redeployment, General Patrick Cammpert about dispatching a relief convoy from Hodeidah seaport to Sana'a".
The official added" Asked about reasons for not moving the convoy on the scheduled time agreed on in advance Patrick's crew replied that Houthi team denied today, Saturday, that they agreed to let the convoy go".
It happened that engineering demining teams of the National Military acted yesterday, Friday, pulled out hundreds of landmines, defuse explosive devices that Houthi militia planted in the key highways, sub-roads to the city of Hodeidah in order to facilitate the relief convoys movement.
But Houth militia delegation has absolutely rejected to let the relief convoy to go through.
