PM: Pessimism on Sweden consultations'results stems from militia non-commitment

Prime Minister Mo'eenAbdulmalik has said the pessimism of many people towards results of Stockholm consolations stems from bitter experiencefromHouthi militias' rebellionagainst agreements and accords they have been signing.

In his meeting with UK Ambassador to Yemen Michael Aron on Wednesday, Prime Minister made it clear that the suspected explanations of the agreement on Hodeida and the Port of Hodeida by Houthis confirm that they are unserious on submission to peace and still selling elusion to their followers and their Iran, their ally.

He stressed that the responsibility have been laid on the shoulders of the International community, the United Nations and the Security Council to commit this militia to fully abide by implementation of what has been agreed upon without any delay.

The meeting has been assigned to discussing latest developments of Swede consultations between the government and Houthi rebel militia and the needed role from the United Nations, the Security Council and the international community for monitoring the complete implementation of the outcomes of the consultations, mainly on Hodeida and its port as a first step for implementing the international resolutions and meeting people's will for ending the coup and regaining the state's institutions.

He pointed to efforts of the government and its accomplishments in normalizing conditions in liberated areas, normally in improving the prices of local currency before foreign currencies and activating the role of the Central Bank of Yemen.

He also pointed to doubling international support to speeding up the wheel of reconstruction, realizing stability and alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people over Houthi coup and the war triggered by Houthi militia with support from Iran for destabilizing security and stability of the region and the whole world.

He expressed government's appreciation to the UK firm position for supporting the government and continuous support for ending the coup and boosting aspirations of Yemeni people in building a new federal Yemen, peaceful and prosperous helping in realizing world security and stability.

Abdulmalik confirmed that the government of Yemen has been always supporting any efforts committing Houthi militia to practical implementation of the political solution references agreed upon internationally; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216 and putting an end to suffering of the Yemeni people over Houthi war.

For his part, the UK diplomat praised the government's positive dealing with peace efforts and keenness on regaining security and stability and ending suffering of the Yemeni people.

He renewed his country's support to the government of Yemen and its efforts in regaining the state, normalizing conditions and realizing security and stability.

He pointed out the UK and the international community are keen on monitoring implementation results of Sewed consultations as an introduction to inclusive political solution and ending the war.
