Egyptian President Abdulfattah al-Sisi has confirmed his country's support to the government of Yemen.
In his meeting with Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohammad al-Maqdashi, who is participating in the activities of Egyptian Defense and Military Industries Expo (EDEX), on Monday, al-Sisi renewed Egypt's support to the Arab Coalition for realizing regional security.
Al-Maqdashi conveyed best wishes of President Hadi, who is the Supreme Commander of the Military Forces, and valued supporting position to Yemen through participation in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition for facing Iranian agenda threatening the security of the region.
He acquainted the Egyptian President on situations development in Yemen and victories accomplished by the national army with support from the Arab Coalition for regaining the state and ending Houthi dangers threatening international trucks and stability of the region.
Al-Maqdashi pointed to efforts exerted for political solution and the political leadership's position supporting peace based on the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.
