Cabinet ensures banking facilities for food commodities importers

Council of Ministers held its session Monday presided over by Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik, in the interim capital Aden.

The meeting devoted to discuss topics relating to government's plans and efforts to manage economic hardships and occupational duality.

The Cabinet has affirmed the government full commitment to support and facilitate banking services to help importing basic commodities and ensuring food supplies all over the Yemeni provinces.

The Cabinet has reiterated the government commitment to keep on offering banking services approved by decree no (75) of 2018 for food stuffs importers including letters of credits and foreign currencies, mainly US dollar.

The Cabinet authorized Ministry of Trade and Industry to activities its monitoring role over basic commodities market to ensure accessible prices.

The Cabinet discussed a proposal aimed to handle the problem of double jobs and ghost names in the payrolls registers. The proposal presented by Ministry of Civil Service and Insurances within the framework of the government plan of 2018. Accordingly, the Cabinet has ordered to set up a committee tasked with National Number for government's employees.

The Cabinet also heard a report by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior about security situations in government-held provinces and regions.

Deputy Chief of Staff also reported to the Council of Ministers about the ongoing combat operations and military advancements have been gained by the armed forces in different field battles.
