Minister of State for Parliament and Shoura Council Mohammed Moqbel Al-Himyari deeply appreciated Russian supportive stance in underpinning the legitimate Yemeni leadership headed by Presidetn Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
He also praised Russian efforts aiming to put an end of the war triggered by Houthi putschist militia.
His statement came as he met Thursday with the Russian Ambassador to our country Vladimir Dodshkin.
Discussions focused on the underway efforts to reach peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict.
Al-Himyaria's conversations with Dodshkin also touched upon the ongoing military operations aiming to retake Hodiedah seaport.
" Retaking the strategic seaport of Hodeidah is first step toward establishing sustainable peace", said Al-Himyari.
The Minister also asked Russian friends to mount pressure upon the militia to enforce the International Security Council resolutions about Yemeni conflict.
Thus, he informed the Russian diplomat about the government's efforts backed by Saudi-led Coalition to resume parliament sessions with necessary quorum.
The Russain Ambassador reiterated his country's support for legitimate government of Yemen, and getting the conflict resolved through peaceful manners. He also underscored the importance of the Parliament's sessions as an elected institution represents the Yemeni people, that will further prop the legitimate government's stances.
