Aden harbor receives 200 ships more from January through September 2018 than last year

Total number of ships docked in Aden seaport remarkably increased in 2018 compared to the same period of last year. The harbor received 522 ships with 11% increase compared to the same period January through September.
Meanwhile the number of containers reached 295 thousand and 601 with an increase of 20% of the same period last year.
According statistics issued by the Corporate of Aden Gulf Harbors which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) obtained a copy the volume of goods rose up to 96% over the previous nine months this year comparing to the same period last year.
Statistics showed that 26 ships laden with humanitarian aids associated to the World Food Program anchored at Al-Mua'allah dock during the past nine months. The 26 ships unloaded 366 thousand tons and 488 tons of food stuffs included flour, sugar, wheat and beans.
