MOSCOW-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to Moscow Ahmed Al-Woheishi discussed on Monday with the Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the Russia Foreign Affairs Ministry Oleg Ozerov the promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries and means of their development.
The talks touched upon the military and political developments concerning the province of Hodeidah and the dangers that the Houthi militia controlling the city and port of Hodeida pose to international navigation in the Red Sea.
Al-Woheishi stressed that the Yemeni government supports the peace efforts led by UN peace mediator Martin Griffiths and it will cooperate with him as it has done with the former mediator Ismail Ould Cheikh, despite the stubborn refusal of peace on the side of the Houthis.
