Saudi humanitarian airlift for Hodeidah launches first flights

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) announced on Tuesday that two planes laden with food and shelter aid to the people of Hodeidah have been sent to the temporary capital Aden wherefrom the aid will be transported tonorthwestern province of Hodeidah.
Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court and KSrelief General Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, said that the humanitarian airlift was launched today upon the directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to maintain follow-up on the situation of the Yemeni people worst affected by the Houthigroup and to ensure their access to humanitarian relief aid.The two planes of today are carrying 70 tons of food and shelter aid to the most needy families of Hodeidah, Al-Rabiah said.
The Yemen army launched a military operation in June 13 to pressure the Houthisto withdraw from the city with a view to ending the suffering of civilians under Houthi grip and ending the terroristgroup'sabuse of the city's port for military purposes.
