PM condemns assassination attempt against his Ethiopian counterpart

Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr has strongly condemned the terrorist assassination attempt against the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed as he was addressing his supporters in a rally in the capital Addis Ababa on Saturday.

One person in the rally was killed and dozens of others were injured in a grenade attack that was targeting Abiy Ahmed.

In a message to his counterpart, bin-Daghr expressed solidarity of Yemen's leadership, government and people with the Ehtiopian people and rejection of the criminal attempts to undermine the security and national unity of Ethiopia. He offered condolences for the fatality case and wished the wounded speedy recovery.

He congratulated Abiy Ahmed on his escape to press ahead with the process of reforms which he had launched in Ethiopia witha strong resolve.
