The International Law and Human Rights Center (ILHRC) here launched on Monday activities of the Council of Taiz Wise People for Peace and Boosting Social Integration and signing the honor document for boosting peace and social integration.
In a press conference held for the launching ceremony, Deputy Governor of Taiz Abdulqawi al-Mikhlaf confirmed support of the local authority to the council for normalizing life in the province and protecting its social fabric tore by the rebel militias' war.
He called the council to reflect its activities on the ground.
Establishing the council is based on the center's belief on boosting social peace and for responding to the province's requirements, said the Head of ILHRC Aref al-Maqrami, who announced that the council's doors are opened to anyone has desire and ability for contribution in solving social issues.
The leading member of the council Abdulrahman al-Azraqi talked about a number of issues required establishment of the council led by issues resulting from war, supporting local authority in normalizing life and realizing social peace through spreading peace culture, discarding hatred, adopting principle of tolerance and achieving justices and reparation in accordance with the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference.
The document of honor has been based on a number of principles and values on maintaining national foundations, respecting dignity, supporting local authority for normalizing life and finalizing liberation of the province.
The document also includes unifying social efforts for development, raising awareness on the importance of the dialogue for solving different issues, solving effects of the war and organizing the information and guiding address.
