PM stressesthe importance of preserving national unity

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin-Daghr has stressed the importance of preserving the country'snational unity to defeat the enemy.

Addressing a popular ceremony in Socotra organized by the local authority of the archipelago on Wednesday, he said "It is a great mistake to allow the political ideologies and regional fanaticism to drag everyone into the cycle of internal conflicts, and to weaken the national unity in countering the (Houthi) coup d'état."

He said that after three years of confrontation with the Houthis, finally the rebels are retreating and the Iranian agenda they pursue is on the decline. "Here is the Yemeni people gradually securing victories for their freedom, identity, Republic and federal unity, which we see only a stone's throw away."

He said that President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi is the symbol of united Yemen and legal government.
He unveiled a number of service projects that the government will implement in the archipelago in the fields of education, health and transportation.
