Ambassador Mousa Discusses Strengthening Cooperation with Secretary-General of Arab Economic Unity Council
The Chargé d'Affaires of Yemen’s Permanent Delegation to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Dr. Ali Mousa discussed Monday with the Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Ambassador Mohamadi Al-Ni ways to enhance joint cooperation between the delegation and the council, as well as mechanisms for developing joint Arab action in economic fields and making better use of available resources.

Al-Kamal: Houthi militia's coup resulted in devastating impacts on national economy, labors

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr Ebtihaj Al-Kamal stated that government is very keen on revitalizing labor sector through establishing job-creating projects that can hire large number of labors.

In statement on Mayday Al-Kamal said:" The government would do its utmost to revive labor sector through planning and supporting major projects that can employee as many labors as possible in order to contribute toward revitalizing labor market which has been gravely damaged by Houthi coup d'état".

The Minister noted that Houthi militia's coup caused crippling economic losses amounted up to $27 billion by the end of 2017.

" Houthi militia coup has proved disastrous in all accounts. The militia has almost bring the economic and businesses drive into standstill. Hundreds of thousands of labors have become jobless, hundreds of small-businesses and enterprises have gone bankruptcy, large number of public and private-owned major productive businesses have been destroyed due to the militia's reckless and irresponsible practices", Al-Kamal said.
