MARIB-SABA
The technical teams of the government's armed forces have managed to remove some 300 thousand of landmines devices over the last couple of years. These staggering numbers of landmines were planted by the Houthi putschist militia in the government-held regions.

Director of the National Center for Controlling Landmines, Brigadier Ameen Al-Akaili stated that Yemen has been subjected to the largest landmines-plant operation since the end of the Second World War." No other country in the Middle East and North Africa has been suffered from the landmines calamity more than Yemen", said Al-Akaili.

He added that engineering teams of the military have pulled out 40 thousand landmines from the fronts of Marib province. Some 16 thousand devices of landmines were demined from the Island of Myoun in the Bab Almandab Strait.

The total number of landmines that Iran-backed Houthi militia has planted are estimated at above half million, according Al-Akaili.
