Health Ministry inaugurates measles campaign in Aden

The Ministry of Public Health and Population inaugurated on Sunday the emergency national campaign for health vaccination against measles.

Financed by the UNICEF, the campaign lasts for 31st of this March.

The ministry seeks to make the campaign a success across the country in cooperation with health partners and donors, said Deputy Minister of Health for Primary Care Ali al-Walidi.

He clarified that the rebel militia has curbed implementation of this campaign in different areas so that the ministry carries out the campaign in six liberated provinces covering 27 districts.

He pointed out that 874 health teams are carrying out the camping in big efforts for targeting 770250children above six months and under ten years. They will be provided with vaccines and vitamins.

For his part Deputy Governor of Aden Mohammad al-Shatheli praised permanent activity of the ministry with a number of organizations supporting health sector for providing services to people, calling all to activate with the campaign for protecting their children's health.

Director of Public Health and Population Office Dr. Jamal Khudabikhsexpressed pleasure of the campaign.
