Health Ministry seeks to improve health services in Western Coast

Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Ishraq al-Siba'i visited on Wednesday health centers in districts of Mocha and Khokha in Taiz and health centers in Hais District, Hodeida Province.

The visit comes within the ministry's plan for rehabilitating Mocha Hospital and activating its management with local cadre, al-Siba'i told Saba, adding that the ministry plans to organize medical support and activating health centers after regaining them back from Houthi militia.

The visit also aims at creating quick solutions for limiting malnutrition and mortality among mothers in districts of Mocha, Khoukha and Hais and Yakhtel area.

She pointed out that the ministry will work- in coordination with the UAE Red Crescent- for filling the gap of financial and relief support to health cadre existing in these centers for providing better health service to locals.

She inaugurated malnutrition center in Mocha Hospital with finance from the UAE Red Crescent and World Health Organization.
