Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Federal Republic of Germany has welcomed the appointment of the British national Marten Griffith as a UN' s envoy to Yemen to replace Isma'il Ould Sheikh Ahmed whose tenure has expired now.

The German Foreign Ministry has confirmed in a statement issued Tuesday that the government of Germany supports political solutions in Yemen and it supports the newly appointed UN's envoy to Yemen Mr Marten Griffith so as to be capable of doing his job very well; expressing its appreciation of the good offices made by Ould Sheikh to help getting the conflict in Yemen resolved.

The German Foreign Ministry has urged the newly appointed UN envoy to push the peace process forward in Yemen and help alleviating the civilians' torment.
